How darling is this French lamb cake mold? This terracotta mold would have been filled with cake batter through the spout at the top, secured, and then placed in the oven to bake. Once done, the mold would be opened and a sweet lamb-shaped cake would emerge, almost certainly for celebrations for Easter. While we can't vouch for it's functionality today, we would love to see it displayed in a kitchen on a counter or open shelf, perhaps grouped with other kitchen related antiques.
