A set of four linen dinner napkins in Millefleurs, Honey. Millefleurs is an allover pattern of tiny hand-painted flowers printed on European linen. It comes in Sky Blue, Prussian Blue, Soft Green, Honey and Terracotta, as fabric, wallpaper, pillows, table linens, slipcovers, upholstery and lampshades.
Millefleurs began with a box. In the 19th century, French papermakers covered ordinary hatboxes, sewing boxes and letter boxes in little repeating "domino" papers, and a century of sunlight faded them to a chalky softness. The name means "a thousand flowers," borrowed from medieval tapestries like The Lady and the Unicorn. Think of it as a meadow you'll never have to water.
Styling Tip with Kristin: These napkins were made to go with the reversible placemats. Use the matching pattern for a tidy table, or the opposite one for a little mischief. They mix just as happily with antique ironstone and mismatched silver.
Made to order: ships in 3–4 weeks.
Dimensions: 20" x 20" each
Care: Dry clean.
